These awkward features are often a liability if someone outside of your family gets hurt in a trip or fall on your property.

Daniel’s Lawn & Tree LLC recommends understanding several factors when choosing stump removal and stump grinding in Concordville, Pennsylvania. Grinding is the less invasive of the two and often provides you with wood chips and mulch that can be used in other areas of your landscape. The base of the tree is chipped out down below the surface of the soil and covered while the roots are left to naturally decompose over the course of many years. This method is preferable if your stump is quite large and very well-established. In the alternative, stump removal requires digging deeper to sever the root system and remove the entire base of the tree. You’ll need to have the remaining hole filled in as soon as possible as it may be rather deep.

Stump Removal or Grinding?

This answer depends on your landscaping ambitions, budget, and soil situation. Stump grinding is often more straightforward, less expensive and will successfully remove the visible traces of the tree but leave the underground roots intact. These roots will naturally decay, but it can take more than a decade for complete decomposition. For further detailed discussion and consultation contact Daniel’s Lawn & Tree LLC at (302) 218-0173.

Concordville is an unincorporated community in Concord Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located 20 miles west-southwest of Philadelphia, at the junction of U.S. Routes 1 and 322. This intersection can be traced back to two of the earliest roads in Pennsylvania, Baltimore Pike which became U.S. 1, and Concord Pike, which connected Pennsylvania with Delaware.[3]

The first European settlement in the area occurred about 1700, after Quakers bought land from William Penn. Two Friends Meetinghouses (formerly Orthodox and Hicksite) are located in the village. The Orthodox meetinghouse was built in the first half of the nineteenth century, while the Hicksites retained the original meetinghouse (built 1728, reconstructed and expanded 1788). The two factions have since merged and now meet in the original meetinghouse. Part of the village was added to the National Register in 1973.[4]
